Julie Grusin Hess
Julie Hess is a management consultant and executive coach with over 17 years of experience working to improve business results for companies in both the service and manufacturing sectors. SSince founding Catalyst Consulting and Coaching Inc. in 2001, Julie has worked with clients in a broad array of industries including: Kraft Foods, McDonalds, Motorola, Takeda Pharmaceutical, Arcelor Mitaal, Lowe’s, and Navistar. Julie partners with her clients to address areas such as leadership development, leadership team effectiveness, strategic planning and implementation, organization assessment and design, change management, process redesign and performance improvement.
In 2001 Julie completed the intensive, year-lone program in Individual and Organizational Coaching at the Hudson Institute of Coaching (formerly the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara), one of the leading executive coaching certification organizations in the United States and an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited program. In 2007 Julie was appointed to the faculty of the Hudson Institute of Coaching where she coaches groupd and individuals attending Institute programs.
Julie is proficient in a wide range of assessment tools and models including: The Leadership Circle Assessment, Lominger Voices, Lominger Choices, Decision Dynamics, and Manager Research Group Leadership Effectiveness Analysis.
Julie received a Masters of Business Administration from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters in Engineering Management (MEM) with a Manufacturing Concentration from the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, both at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She holds a B.S. in business administration and organization communications from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
